Fronted by powerhouse Japanese vocalist Shuko, the band draws from 1950s and 60s sounds while weaving in the flair of 60s Japanese hits. With Roni driving the beat on drums, Jess tearing it up on guitar, Robin holding down the groove on bass, and Lee Badau blasting soulful sax lines, their live shows are a gritty, grooving throwback with a modern twist. Two Gun Mathilda pays tribute to vintage sounds—but with a style and spirit all their own.
Two Gun Mathilda（トゥー・ガン・マチルダ）は、ロンドンを拠点に活動するハイエナジーなリズム＆ブルース、ソウル、ロックンロールバンド。日本人ボーカルShukoをフロントに、50～60年代のブルースに加え、60年代の日本のポップスからも影響を受けた独自のサウンドを展開。ドラムのRoni、ギターのJess、ベースのRobin、サックスのLee Badauが加わり、グルーヴィーでワイルドなライブパフォーマンスを繰り広げる。Two Gun Mathildaは、ヴィンテージ・サウンドへの愛を現代の感性で表現する唯一無二のバンドだ。
